The CPAM mounts using through screws in the top dash cubby area as well as a center mount that utilizes factory radio attachment points creating a solid platform for secure mounting.

As our mounts are designed for maximum strength the CPAM does require drilling for installation.

___

In addition to drilling the CPAM requires Minor Trimming on of the topmost edge of the replaceable plastic radio trim surround; the trimming is in two small sections that are unseen when the mount is installed and is required for the support bracket that ties into the factory radio mounting location.

This is a necessary component and is important for the strength of the mount.

___

The CPAM is a semi technical install requiring drilling, minor trimming of plastic and basic wiring of the provided USB Charger, the complete install should take the average installer 1.5-2 hrs.

Solid Mount with Tons of Expansion Potential

Got my mount installed in about an hour, everything worked as planned and shown in the video. The hardware is packed in separated pouches in a sack, with extra nuts in case you lose one in the dash. Just use tape on a box wrench and you'll be fine. I agree with the other review that the hardware can be tricky, so when you think about using the two pan head screws in the pouch with the flush head screws for mounting the main panel to the dash, don't. Use two of the screws of the 9 in the larger qty pouch. The two with packaged with the flush mount are for the USB panel attachment. Use a Dremel wheel and notch about 5/16" into the trim panel at the top, I only needed to cut once. Accessories are on and powered, it's rock solid. I just wish there was an easy tap into CarPlay using the supplied port. Definitely not a deal breaker though.

Quality Product that lives up to it's billing!

The Colorado dash mount was everything I'd hoped it would be. Shipping was fast and the product itself is very well made. It's a bomber mounting solution for RAM accessories or a mobile radio. I always like when I can buy made in the USA products. Install was pretty simple, probably took me an hour or so total. The written directions are just about useless but the install video gives great detail and is a must watch. Toughest part for me was probably running the wire for the USB outlets. 5 stars!

Well built solution with some minor issues...

Well built solution and design. Definitely on the expensive side but does solve a lot of issues and the end result is a very clean installation. The installation video is a must, but I have to say several fairly significant portions were omitted for time savings and therefore are not representative of the time or level of effort involved with the installation mainly due to the extremely tight spaces. The hardware provided is well organized however is not labeled whatsoever, several bolt sizes fit/work in multiple locations and really need to be identified/labeled to prevent rework. All in all would definitely recommend the product to others.

Well designed and fabricated

This really well designed and solid gear for your truck. Takes a couple hours with the most time consuming piece is getting the radio bezel trimmed enough, it took me several attempts, but once done the rest of the install goes pretty quickly. do yourself a favor and watch the install video which is very helpful.

Most Used Device In Truck

Brandon here from Ballistic Overland. Bought this to mount my phone/gopro/ and switch setup. Super happy with it. Have used it multiple times for a couple latest YouTube videos and for some face camera stuff from the gopro. Super rigid, super sturdy, and just overall a great product. Installed by watching the video uploaded by Expedition Essentials and the install was straightforward and relatively easy. Thank you for this mount system Expedition Essentials.

You guys Killed It

I have to say, I have been looking for, or lets eagerly waiting for a dash mount for the Colorado that was as nice as this for a long time. There are mounts avail but they truly don't compare and honestly they are just sub par. Unless one truly likes the look of a cheese grader sitting atop ones dashboard. They just don't do it for me. You mount looks like means business, like it was actually made for the truck and not just an afterthought. The install while technical was very easy following your instructions and video. I am truly impressed with the build quality and the forethought of the design, it is extremely stable and I am very pleased.

Awesome Accessory Mount for my Colorado Truck

This product is so well thought out and fits the design curves of my truck, not to mention solid as a rock. The install was very straight forward and pretty easy for those who have installed pretty much anything accessory related on a truck. You just have to take out a few screws and the main head unit but its a lot easier than other accessory mounts I have seen on the market where you need to disassemble the entire dash. 😳 This mount is extremely adaptable and modular as you can mount stuff to the channel or the rear diamond shaped Ram mounts, its really up to you. This also works with the Bose speaker as well which is a huge bonus. This mount is very strong, well made and extremely well thought out. I appreciate a company that prototypes their products before launching it into the market. This thing is just rad.
